You are a passionate care assistant who loves working in the most diverse and vibrant city in East Flanders. Ghent and its districts — Mariakerke, Drongen, Wondelgem, Sint-Amandsberg, Oostakker, Desteldonk, Terdonk, Mendonk, Sint-Kruis-Winkel, Gentbrugge, Ledeberg, Sint-Denijs-Westrem and Zwijnaarde — offer a rich and varied care environment. In short: every day different, every day fascinating. And the occasional Ghent cuberdon to start the day right — that one’s just for you.
- You are a qualified care assistant and work, or want to work, as a self-employed professional
- You want to set your own working rhythm, in tune with your life
- You have a warm heart for people and value real, personal care
- You are caring, reliable and like structure with room for humanity
- Experience in home care is a plus, but not required
What will you be doing?
As an independent care assistant with one of our partners, you head out every day to people’s homes throughout the Ghent area. Whether you are caring in the historic city centre, the quiet neighbourhoods of Drongen or the green edge of Zwijnaarde — every day you bring personal attention and professional care.
- You provide personal care: help with washing, dressing, mobility and comfort
- You support daily activities and promote your clients’ independence
- You work closely with the nurses and other care partners on your round
- You report simply and clearly through our digital platform
- You take part in team meetings and training whenever you wish
What you don’t do: handle phone calls during your round, look for clients yourself or spend your evenings on administration. Ghent offers plenty of better ways to spend an evening.
