Who are we looking for?

That nurse is you. You love the Kempen — the space, the calm, the straightforwardness of the people. But you also want challenge, variety and the feeling that your job really matters. You are professional, non-judgmental and know that every person — whatever their situation — has the right to good care.
- You are a qualified nurse and work, or want to work, as a self-employed professional
- You enjoy variety and want to work in two very different, but equally meaningful settings
- You are a strong communicator, calm under pressure and non-judgmental in your care
- You want to set your own rhythm, in consultation with the scheduling structure of both work environments
- You are discreet, professional and know how to handle complex human situations
- Experience in home nursing and/or prison healthcare is a plus, but not required
What will you be doing?
As an independent nurse with one of our partners in the Kempen region, you combine two worlds — the open, green Kempen in people’s homes, and the closed setting of a prison where care is just as badly needed.
In Kempen home care:
- You provide nursing care in patients’ homes in Turnhout, Beerse, Oud-Turnhout, Vosselaar, Hoogstraten, Rijkevorsel, Merksplas, Ravels, Arendonk and Baarle-Hertog
- You build relationships of trust with regular patients in a close-knit, rural community
- You work with GPs and local care partners and report through the digital platform
In the prison of Merksplas and/or Turnhout:
- You provide medical and nursing care to inmates: wound care, medication administration, triage and follow-up of chronic conditions
- You work with the prison’s medical team and refer on to external care providers where necessary
- You deal professionally and without prejudice with a diverse patient population in a special setting
What you don’t do: get bored. With home care in the Kempen and prison care in Merksplas or Turnhout, every day is guaranteed to be different. The Kempen may look calm — your job is anything but.

For your home care round in the Kempen, we supply the necessary medical materials centrally. In the prisons you work with the resources of the medical service. You never turn up empty-handed.
Training for two worlds
Free, practice-oriented training — both for classic home nursing and for care in a judicial setting. Because in the Kempen, and behind the walls too, you keep growing as a professional.
