Our training programs

Nurse preparing an infusion at a patient's home

Infusion therapy

Increasingly, patients are receiving their perfusion therapy at home, such as magnesium infusions, antibiotics, or Aclasta. Due to this evolution within home care, home nurses are also expected to possess increasing practical knowledge and technical skills.

Moreover, for many nurses, it has been quite some time since they actively worked with infusion therapy. This practice-oriented training offers the opportunity to refresh that knowledge and apply the techniques again with confidence in daily care practice.

During the training, we will work concretely with various types of perfusions and discuss the key points of attention, including do's and don'ts during execution. In addition, we delve into the relevant nomenclature: what can you bill for a perfusion, what materials do you provide yourself as a nurse, and what administrative aspects do you need to take into account? This provides you with a clear and practical framework that you can put into practice immediately.

Home nurse using a patient lift

Ergonomics

Back problems are common among healthcare professionals and nurses and usually arise from incorrect movements and postures while providing care. In this practical training course, you will learn how to work responsibly using the right aids and ergonomic lifting and carrying techniques, with the aim of protecting your back and preventing complaints.

Port catheters

Port catheters have become indispensable in home nursing. Whether it involves flushing after chemotherapy, maintaining an inactive port catheter, drawing blood, or administering TPN: these procedures occur frequently in practice. In this practice-oriented training course, we will actively work with these procedures and strengthen the necessary skills.

In addition, we also consider the nomenclature surrounding port catheters. We examine, among other things, whether IV medication may be charged for insertion, whether the insertion and removal of a port catheter needle on a single day are cumulative, and to what extent these services exceed the daily ceiling and the fixed fee.

Diabetes care

Do you want to refresh your general knowledge about diabetes? Think of insight into the different types of diabetes and their pathology, an update on existing and new medications such as various insulins, Ozempic and Mounjaro, and more knowledge about the diabetic foot. Then this course is definitely for you.

Diabetes is a chronic condition that is becoming increasingly common among both young and old people. In addition to the impact of the disease and the treatment itself, the risk of additional complications is also significant. As a nurse, you play an essential role in this, regarding follow-up, education, and the early detection of problems.

This practice-oriented training helps you deepen your knowledge and apply it with more confidence in daily healthcare practice.

Nurse consulting a patient file on a tablet at home

GDPR

GDPR legislation has been around for a while, but due to rapid technological advancements, it is becoming increasingly important to stay up to date. Are you still up to speed, and do you want to optimally protect your patients' privacy?

Do you sometimes have questions such as: what is allowed and what is not? How do you correctly maintain a mandatory data register? Is a patient allowed to view their file? And what about taking wound care photos on your mobile phone or handling data in assisted living facilities and residential care centers?

In this training, we make GDPR clear, practical, and immediately applicable to your daily work as a home care nurse. You will learn how to manage patient data securely and in accordance with the law, receive clear updates and concrete examples from practice, and discover how small adjustments can make a big difference.

We combine the necessary theory with recognizable situations from the field, so that you can immediately translate the knowledge into your own practice. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate confirming your GDPR knowledge and skills.

Racks of blood sample tubes in a laboratory

Lab results

For many patients, the result of their blood analysis is often very difficult to understand. As a result, they sometimes worry unnecessarily. Even though this technically falls under the doctor's authority, we as nurses can play an important role in this. We can explain to patients in an understandable way what all those results mean.

Euthanasia and palliative sedation

End-of-life care requires more than knowledge alone. It requires insight, calmness, communication, and a clear role as a care provider.

Euthanasia and palliative sedation often entail complex situations in which emotions, legislation, and collaboration converge. As a home care nurse, you are close to the patient and their family, and you play an important role during this phase.

In this training, you will receive practical tools to handle these situations. We clarify the distinction between different types of advance directives, review the legislation, and translate this into your daily practice.

We focus not only on knowledge, but also on communication, collaboration, and making professional choices — with the goal of warm, high-quality care until the end.

Nurse sorting blood sample tubes

Blood sample

Taking a blood sample seems like a routine procedure, but it requires accuracy and insight. Small details often make a big difference in the quality of the result.

In this practical training course, we refresh the basics and deepen your knowledge. We address questions you regularly encounter in practice: which tube do you use first, what is an EDTA tube, what does INR mean, and when does a patient need to be fasting?

You will receive clear, practical tools to perform blood draws correctly, safely, and with confidence.

Home nurse with an elderly patient at home

Chemotherapy in home care

More and more patients are receiving chemotherapy (partially) at home. As a home care nurse, you play an important role in this, with knowledge, safety, and guidance at the forefront.

In this course, you will gain a clear and practice-oriented insight into chemotherapy. We cover the basics, the various administration methods, and how to work safely at home.

In addition, we address risks such as extravasation and contamination, and you will receive concrete tools for a correct approach. The impact on the patient is also covered, with attention to side effects, follow-up, and quality of life.

This way, you can guide patients with confidence and expertise during a period of intensive care.

New Care Profiles in Nursing

Starting in June, the first basic nurses will enter the field. This new care profile brings about changes in collaboration within care teams.

From now on, care assistants, nursing assistants, and basic nurses will work more closely together within teams. This raises questions regarding roles, responsibilities, and the division of tasks.

In this training, we bring clarity to this new structure. We examine who is authorized to perform which actions, who is responsible, and how to collaborate efficiently as a team. Topics such as delegation and supervision are also covered.

This way, you gain the necessary insights to organize your practice correctly and be prepared for the future of healthcare.
